Gibson Homan is part of the Loss Adjusting team of Aquila Consultants, he holds over 10 years of experience within the insurance fraternal. The start of his career in 1987 found Gibson being given the opportunity to the field of loss adjusting within AA Wall and Associates. He was tasked with the responsibility of having to establish develop the motor wing of the company from scratch and was responsible for the marketing, soliciting new business within the firm. As a loss assessor within the automotive engineering , industrial, mining plant and equipment, agricultural plant and equipment, inland marine crafts, vessels, to general burglaries, money loss, defective workmanship etc.
After four years with AA Wall and Associates following the migration of the founder and senior partner to Europe Gibson proceeded to venture into loss adjusting and consulting on his own.
In January 1994 Citimax Investment (Pty) Ltd t/a G. Homan Loss Assessors was birthed. Through this vehicle he conducted  assessments ; inspections, evaluations, investigations, adjustment, of claims by mayor insurers throughout the country of accident damaged vehicles, plant and equipment, marine loss, hull damaged, tobacco loss, riot loss and damage, money loss, public liability, hotelier’s comprehensive, loss of profit etc.

Upon mandate from leading Insurers , reinsurers and Brokers acted as auditors to ensure that claims conducted by other internal and independent loss assessors or adjustors was fairly and competently conducted in order to ensure that the integrity of the claim was not compromised, the assets of insurer is protected and that only legitimate claims owed are paid out.
Within our consultancy capacity we have acted and conducted numerous risk management evaluations, developed concepts, and headed projects to introduce new technology and innovations to assist in the better management of the claims handling as liability insurance claims assessors, adjusters whose employment encompasses many facets and roles: as an investigator, an insurance contract expert, and a person of empathy who fulfils the policy promises to defend and indemnify the insured.   Assist in the establishment of the country’s first largest based indigenous loss assessing company within the country and SADAC region. Gibson found himself answerable many times to the board executive directors of the Insurers he related to at all times. He is bringing an array of non-insurance experience to the insurance loss adjusting industry, owing to his exposure to the Automotive Engineering Industry, Real Estate Property, Journalism, Community Development spheres that compliment his strong back ground.
Years of diversified service experience in commercial and industrial company’s settings provide for the making of a well-developed analytical, technical and problem solving skills individual, whom is highly motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team setting. His experience, good analytical thinking and written communication, management in a few fields, allowed him to develop skills in generating ideas, developing marketing strategies.
